When contacting us, please provide as much detail as possible (including images where necessary).
Please note:
- for any genealogical enquiries or questions about our historical documents or records, please contact the Bank of England Archive
- while we make every effort to make our collections available for all, we do not have a research room and cannot facilitate on-site visits to view objects
- we do not provide valuations for banknotes.
Image requests
We provide images of objects from our collection free of charge for non-commercial use. Images can be approved for use in a commercial context by application to the museum. When you get in touch, let us know which object you wish to have an image of and its proposed use. Images of historic banknotes can be found on the withdrawn banknote guide?and are subject to banknote reproduction guidelines.Object loans for exhibitions
We're open to requests to borrow objects from the historic collection for the purpose of public display or exhibition. We recommend getting in touch with us as soon as possible to discuss objects and loan requirements. Speculative enquiries are welcome.Give your feedback
